BENEFIT OF HIKING





Good evening everyone....
I'm back to share with you guys the benefit of hiking. of course there are many benefits when you are hiking as it is a part of recreation activity. although you think you go hiking only just for fun or only to view the scenery, it actually gives a lot of benefit for your physical health and mental health.i have done some research on the website to know more about the benefit of hiking.

Our lives are busier than ever. We are busy with our jobs, social life and everyday life is enough to keep us at a permanent level of stress below the surface. Going for a hike reduces your blood pressure and cortisol levels producing a calming effect only nature can offer over an above the benefits of exercise alone.

Getting out into nature decreases what psychologists call rumination, which are negative thought patterns that play over and over in our heads such as dwelling on embarrassing or disappointing moments or thinking about everything we think is wrong with our lives. By doing outdoor activities it can give happiness like hiking.

Walking or climbing over uneven terrain uses 28% more energy than walking over flat ground. You are also removing all the new age stimuli that we often expose ourselves to throughout the day and right before bedtime like phones, computers, TV's and the like. The result is better sleep.

TIPS ON HIKING

Hello everyone.... how are guys doing? hope everyone stay safe and stay healthy. I want to continue my sharing about tips on hiking. Have you guys go on hiking: where had you go? what was your experience? i had go hiking Bukit Kincir Angin at Pulau Perhentian. it was a meaningful experience and give me knowledge about hiking. When you do hiking it is important to wear the proper attire like sport attire and hiking shoes, prepare your fitness and bring enough tools. when you are not fully prepared it can be dangerous and might cause any accident. 

I have done some research about the tips for the beginners to start hiking. As Steve Kamb (May, 2020) said ,hiking is a favorite activity among Malaysians. And why wouldn’t it be? It is fun, burns calories, feeds the soul, and lastly, gives a new perspective on life. Everyone can hike since there are easy, intermediate and challenging trails.Beginner or a seasoned hiker, there are a few things that you need to do before you go for your hike. All these tips are crucial to ensure a fun and safe hike. Many fail to prepare and they end up never hiking again. Hiking is one of the most rewarding outdoor activities if done correctly. Now i want to share the tips on hiking for the beginners. 

So, are you ready? 

1. DO YOUR RESEARCH 

Do everything you can to gather information about the trail. More so if you are unsure of which trail to choose for your level of fitness.you can search on website or blogs to get a clearer picture of what you are going to attempt.So that you can know what kind of trail will you faced.

2. TALK TO HIKERS 

With the elaborate network of social media, you will be able to get in touch with hikers who have been there and done that. Contact them and ask them questions about your trail or anything hiking-related that you are unsure of. It is better to be well-informed rather than being lost in a jungle. You also can also know their experience and get some advice from them.

3. KEEP YOUR FITNESS 
Keeping fit is necessary for you to enjoy your hike and to prevent you from being sore after your hike. It is important to prevent any fatigue or faint during hiking.

4.GEAR UP 
You need to be well equipped for your hike. Firstly, you need a high-quality hiking shoes. Keep in mind that running shoes, walking shoes, training shoes are not hiking shoes. Without proper hiking shoes which you are comfortable in, your hike will be a nightmare. There are also other gears that you might need such as hydration bladders and hiking backpacks.

5. WEAR PROPER CLOTHING

It might seem to be a trivial issue. On the contrary, proper clothing is important to ensure all your focus is on your steps and not on your clothing. Firstly, you will need clothes which will save you from chaffing. Secondly, your clothes need to be dry-fit so that you have proper ventilation. Also, in the case of it being windy and cold at the summit, you will need a high-quality windbreaker and jacket.

6. FOOD AND WATER 
It is important to bring alone food and waters. as foods can reduce your starving when you are very hungry and waters is to avoid dehydration. So never forget to bring food and waters.

7. MENTAL PREPARATION 
The ultimate thing to do before you hike is to condition your mind. Throw away any thoughts of weakness or doubtfulness regarding the hike. Never give up and let your hike mantra be keep going. Crawl if you must, but never ever give up. One step at a time and you will reach the summit.
